December 7: Evening of Renewal (Postponed)

Dec 3, 2019

This event has been postponed until after the New Year.

Evening of Renewal is Postponed

The evening of renewal that we had scheduled for this coming Saturday evening has been postponed until sometime after the New Year. We have a lot of events scheduled in December, including next week's Healing Encounter on December 14th, so we opted to postpone this event. We look forward to having the Evening of Renewal in January. Sorry for the late notice.

The Church of the Resurrection will host an “Evening of Renewal” on December 7, 2019 from 7:00-8:30pm. The evening will consist of a time of Praise and Worship, then a talk by Sue Cummins. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the freedom of praising God together, using the charismatic gifts of the Spirit and being enriched by the word of God. Fr. Steve Mattson, our pastor, will lead the evening and the event will take place in the church. No charge! All are welcome!

Sue Cummins works full time for the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Department of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship; she teaches theology as adjunct faculty at Sacred Heart Major Seminary and is part of the teaching team with Catherine of Siena Institute (Called and Gifted Workshops; Forming Intentional Disciples). Sue worked for fifteen years as part of an international team giving retreats, training and spiritual direction to leaders of Christian communities in Central America, Mexico, Spain, Europe and the Middle East. She has over ten years of experience working with youth as senior staff with University Christian Outreach (UCO) and Youth Works Detroit and as a high school teacher (St. Alphonsus Catholic High School). Sue is a member of Word of Life Community and of Bethany Association, an association of consecrated women living in the world. She lives and ministers in Southwest Detroit. Sue is the proud Aunt of seven nieces and nephews and Great Aunt of eight. She is Godmother for seven God-children.
