Uniforms & Dress Code
Our students attend Mass three times each week as a school. Students often help with the readings, bring up the gifts, serve at the altar, and periodically sing in the choir.
At Resurrection School, we offer sports through Resurrection, and we also participate in Junior Cougar Program through Lansing Catholic High School. Junior Cougar sports are teams made up of all the parish schools in the area. We are members of the Catholic Youth Activities Conference (CYAC, www.lansingcyac.org). When sports seasons are in session, you can find schedules, directions to other schools, scores, standings, etc. on our CYAC page. CYAC sports are played at all of the area schools, Monday through Saturday. We also participate in the Our Savior Lutheran Pee Wee Basketball league. This league is only played at OSL and only on Saturdays. We offer the following sports:
-Grades 5-8 Fall Girls Volleyball (CYAC)
-Grades 5-8 Boys Basketball (CYAC)
-Grades 5-8 Girls Basketball (CYAC)
-Grades 3-4 Co-ed Pee Wee Basketball (Our Savior Lutheran)
-Grades K-8 Football (Junior Cougars)
-Grades 6-8 Cross Country, Track and Field (Junior Cougars)
-Grades 3-8 Boys and Girls Lacrosse (Junior Cougars)

*In the past, we've offered sports such as soccer, golf, and softball, but as of now these sports are not available.

Altar Serving & Junior Sacristan Programs
Young men at Resurrection School, 5th grade and older, who have received their First Holy Communion, are eligible to become Altar Servers. Contact Mr. Fink at [email protected] with questions.
As part of the Resurrection School emphasis on growing closer to the Lord in faith and participating in acts of service, the young ladies in middle school (Grades 6-8) have the opportunity to volunteer to be part of our Junior Sacristan program. This program involves learning about the Mass and items used in the liturgy, becoming more aware of the Church's liturgical calendar, making a commitment to grow in one's prayer life, and actively assisting in setting up for the daily school Mass. All training and service will be conducted during school hours, but may occasionally occur during a lunch or recess period. We are happy to welcome all young ladies in middle school to offer their time to serve in this way! Contact Sr. Mary Gabriel at [email protected] for more information.
Latin Chant Schola
Our Children's Schola is an after-school music group for students in grades 3-8 (and a separate introductory class during the school day for students in grades K-2). For more information, visit our Church of the Resurrection Children's Schola page.
