Join us on February 15 for a video & discussion
Last October, along with other members of the parish, I attended the Touchstone Magazine Conference entitled, “Fight of Flight? The Benedict & Other Options for Facing the World, the Flesh, and the Devil.” It was a great conference. The videos of the conference are available online HERE. Two of the talks, those given by Ross Douthat and Rod Dreher, are available to everyone. All the other talks, as well as talks from prior conferences, are available online to those who subscribe to Touchstone Magazine, which, by the way, I recommend very strongly. Given the importance of the questions that the conference raised, and our commitment to helping members of the parish and community face the challenges of living out the faith, we have decided to get together “Lumen style,” i.e., with appetizers and beverages, to watch a video of the first night’s conversation between Ross Douthat, Tony Esolen, and Rod Dreher.
After the video, we will then have a collective conversation about the video. We plan to gather together in Mercy Hall on February 15 at 7:00 p.m., watch the video, and engage with the ideas they discussed collectively. It should be a great evening of fellowship and engagement with ideas as we all strive to discover the best ways to hold onto and live the faith in our times.
