Getting Closer to our Goal
This past weekend, I preached about the great invitation from the Lord for us to come to Him for rest. In addition to preaching about that, I took some time to address in more depth our case for the Witness to Hope Capital Campaign. At this point, we have received around 250 gifts and pledges with total pledge amount of just over $1.35 million, so we're almost 2/3 of the way to our goal! Thank you very much! 40% of the registered parishioners have made a pledge, but I am hoping and praying that 50% or more of registered parishioners will prayerfully make at least a one-time gift. Outstanding potential pledges range from $350,000 to $1,350,000. Let's keep praying! Thanks.
With gratitude for the generous support of the people of our parish, we are prayerfully seeking to raise $2,100,000. Of this amount, $1,569,488 will remain in our parish to fund parish projects, and the balance will support the wider Church efforts, as outlined in the general Witness to Hope campaign material. Together with the Parish Pastoral Council, Finance Council, and other lay leadership, we have determined that the following projects are of highest priority and comprise our Campaign Case for Support:
- Accessibility and enhanced safety for our two school buildings, which includes constructing a secure connection between the 2 buildings and ADA compliant access and egress: $1,200,000
- Beautification of the church sanctuary: $750,000
Please pray for the success of our efforts and those of the entire diocese. And please bring in your pledge envelope this coming weekend (or pledge online) if you haven't done so already. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
